UPDATE: Motorcycle Driver Remains in Critical, But Stable Condition at NUMC

The woman is in critical condition at NUMC.

A woman was injured in a motorcycle accident that happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evening on North Jerusalem Road near Bruce Drive in East Meadow.

As of 9 a.m. Friday, the woman remains in "critical, but stable condition" in intensive care unit, according to Shelley Lotenberg, director of public affairs at NUMC.

According to one witness, who chose not to be identified, the woman was cut off by a school bus while traveling westbound on North Jerusalem Road. She then crashed her motorcycle into a parked Nissan Xterra and was catapulted onto the pavement.
