Wheelchair-Bound Woman Victim of Parking Lot Crash
The woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to NUMC for evaluation.
An elderly woman in a wheelchair sustained minor injuries when she, while in her wheel chair, was struck by a car outside of Sunday afternoon, according to police.
According to East Meadow Fire Chief Carl Pugliese, Nassau County Police and the responded to calls just before 1:30 p.m. The exact cause of the accident is unknown.
“We got there and her injuries seemed to be minor,” Pugliese said. “Thankfully, it didn’t seem like she was badly hurt.”

The woman was transported to for observation, and there is no further update on her condition.
