3.NUMC Welcomes First Baby of New Year: Baby Sarah was the first infant born at Nassau University Medical Center in 2013.

2. Hugh Murray, 26, of Levittown was arrested and charged with driving while in intoxicated, resisting arrest, and for being in possession of a stun gun shaped as a cell phone on Jan. 1.

1.Fire Damages Three East Meadow Businesses: A New Year's fire damaged three adjacent businesses on Hempstead Turnpike. Nassau County police deemed the fire as accidential.

Hi Karen, Thanks for asking about the position(s) at GCA. There are currently a couple of positions…Read More that need filled. The higher, more difficult positions to fill would include Latin 2, AP European History, and the Omnibus - a conglomerate of classes characteristic of classical education. Because we are a Christian school, each of our teachers is required to articulate the Christian gospel through all of their subject areas and to do so from a Scripturally literate point of view. As far as the salary is concerned, that becomes an issue between the candidate and the board and is not handled directly by myself.
