Two Brentwood women face charges after allegedly offering to perform a sexual act on undercover officers in Massapequa, according to Nassau County Police.

An undercover detective and another unidentified individual were placed in separate rooms at Feeling Facial Spa Inc. where they received unlicensed massages from two female employees, cops said. The two women, Marcia Bedoya, 21, and Tiffany Merced, 22, both of Brentwood, then offered to perform a sexual act on the two for an additional fee, police reported.

The two were arrested at the scene without incident and will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.

wow lots of strong feelings and words here! Perhaps that anger is misdirected and would be better channeled into action by YOU. Do you attend any community meetings where your voice, not screams and accusations, can be heard? I have been active in every community I have lived in and was President of my block association in Hells Kitchen, NYC for years so I speak from experience about getting involved. Our efforts to turn that neighborhood around were so successful that we were priced right out by rich brats who cared less about what it took to get it to where it is today. Get out from behind the anonymity and safety of your screens and devices and tell those that can actually do something. Be a part of the solution. not part of the problem. I rest my case.

We keep electing the same people over and over, so change is difficult. The police Department is run by the union, so they do what they want. One of the other posters said that the police have a unit to deal with vice crimes. Maybe more attention should be paid to, and resources directed at, drugs, reckless driving, etc. A red light camera may generate a lot of revenue, but it cannot spot someone who is texting while driving. A patrolling police officer can.

thanx The Baby, and yes thats what i do. get involved. my original comment was actually directed to the Patch. not enuff information given in lots of articles.
LT February 09, 2014 at 07:37 AM
dear it's typical, that's why they busted the prostitutes. they're doing their job. it's illegal to peddle your body. period.
Cameron Smith February 09, 2014 at 07:53 AM
Whoever said, "sex, and drugs, and Rock & Roll" are Morons! That's a song and Only a song! Prostitution should be legalized (and marijuana). First, they're Not hurting anyone, they're pleasuring people, rape would go down, and look at the tax revenue it would bring in if it were legalized. It is the oldest profession and Will Always be Around!!! It's works in Vegas and it works in Amsterdam. Why shouldn't it work here?! The only ones who are against it are old fashioned prudes or the ones who are afraid that their husbands may be visiting to cheat on them. And just think, if it were legalized, the judges, police chiefs, and politicians wouldn't have to leave their jobs in disgrace ;)
LT February 09, 2014 at 07:57 AM
yes Men, we understand your plight. can't get sex any other way.
Turtle February 09, 2014 at 08:50 AM
Some people are missing the fact that many of these "massage" parlors have underage girls working there against their will. They need to crack down on these practices. Look at the underage girls they discovered being forced to work during the Super Bowl. It's a horrible fact that there is sex trafficking in this country.

This thread is fantastic. Although I do feel the resources of NVB. Narcotics Vice Bureau of Nassau county should be more directed at dealing with the narcotics issue in the county, the vice aspect is important as well. With craigslist and backpage ads bringing in prostitutes and Johns from everywhere the need for this division exists. I think that slamming a police officer for making 100 grand is off base though. How much do you think would be a good salary for these men and women? They start at a very low salary and move up in steps. 7 steps for top pay. Not sure if your aware but the steps for these officers have been frozen for three years. Many left a city police job, their choice, making a lot more than the 50,000 they are stuck at. Tell the loved ones of the 5 officers who died in the line of duty right here in Nassau county in the last few years they make too much. Officers, by choice, miss christmas with there families, weddings, birthdays, family functions, funerals, thanksgivings and everything else. So if 2 of them want to sit for twenty minutes and have a cup of coffee I have no issue with that. I talk to my co-workers at work. I don't get to my office at 9am bury my head in my desk and un bury it at 5pm without talking to anyone. The resources of the police department are very depleted. There are 500 less cops out there then there should be. So all of the unmarked vehicles and summons people are used to fill in for all of the empty sector cars. I think the police do a fine job. I recently looked at my tax bill. Of the $9100 I pay in taxes $ 7800 goes to the schools and $1300 for everything else. $1300 for garbage pick up, street lights, road repair and cleanup, library funding, volunteer FD, ambulance service and the police. Not to bad. My cell phone bill for two phones is over $1600 a year. Cops are like mail boxes. You don't know they are there till you need one. So officers. Keep locking up prostitutes, drug dealers, drunks and ticketing all of the crazies in the county and if you want to sit and have a cup of coffee. Have at it. Be safe out there. I'm sure glad I know I'm coming home from work tomorrow to see my kids. Thank you officers!

Also, if anyone wants to attend the trial of Darrell Fuller. He's the guy who killed PO Lopez near the cross island last year along with a guy who was sitting on the side of the road talking on his cell phone. The trial resumes tomorrow in mineola. Come show support for the family.
Sean Hassett February 10, 2014 at 02:07 AM
I see so many dangerous drivers all over that are putting people's lives in danger and the cops are going after hookers? This would never happen in the private sector. We need a little prioritization!
Six Pack February 10, 2014 at 08:35 AM
Sean, Read the two comments above. The Nassau police are at an all time low of somewhere around 2100 cops. They are spread a little thin. The number should be a lot higher then that. They need to hire. Your comment about the private sector. In the private sector you have many different departments that are all looking to achieve the same goal. Make a profit. From the CEO's to the people who clean the office. Everyone plays a part in the success of a company and not one division is more important than the othere. So for you to say prioritize their resources does not make sense. Should the division who writes tickets have the majority of cops in it. Should the CEO take cops out of canine, marine Bureau, detective division which includes investigators for robbery's , burglaries, arsons, computer crimes and major offense squad, tactical unit, investigators, narcotics and vice division, IT department, planning, emergency service and I know I'm missing a few. So if you want take this list I provided of all the different jobs within the department and prioritize them as if you were the CEO or as they call him the commissioner.

Why do cops waste the taxpayers money going after what people do behind closed doors?
Turtle February 10, 2014 at 09:25 AM
Archy, as I mentioned earlier, many of these "harmless" places are holding young women against their will in the sex trade industry. Look what they discovered w the bust before the Super Bowl. These young women were so happy to be rescued.
susan February 10, 2014 at 09:54 AM
Okay seriously prostitution should be legalized & regulated to make sure they are all of age and willing FFS, If an adult wants to exchange sex for cash whos business is it really besides the 2 people involved. I really think our cops have much better things to do than bust people for such crap. Funny in Oyster Bay, I have seen a cop parked at the police booth sleeping with her head hanging and drool running down her face. Besides, when you do need a cop and call one all you get is attitude...I am so sick of seeing cops run stop signs and red lights, speeding and totally disregard the law. The all seem to be above the law now, instead of leading by example!
Allie February 10, 2014 at 10:59 AM
These fake spa's are everywhere in the country. In NYS it is a class E felony to practice without a license. They will continue to thrive as long as the public wants this in their communities. I applaud our police for doing their job and prosecuting these people in accordance with all laws broken. Trash destroys neighborhoods and everyone loses. I just wish all precincts would follow their lead!
Daniella Ruiz February 10, 2014 at 01:24 PM
the CEO's of those 'money making clubs', need the taxpayers donations to fund ever increasing police, security and zoning regulation officers, myriads of paper pushers and phone answering girls happy making $50,000>> $150,000 each year. Thats so they can buy all the crap the CEO'S personally sweat and toil 24/7 wth their very own hands too! Sheeesh, a few consenting adults can't even perform natural acts of kindness without the argument spinning out of control and involving those struggling CEO's ?????? ;-))
Allie February 10, 2014 at 02:21 PM
Prostitution, Trafficking and Unlicensed NYS Therapies are all illegal practices in New York. How can anyone question that these laws should be broken for any excuse? Morality builds a safe society, pass it on!!
Archy Bunka February 11, 2014 at 10:19 PM
Turtle, there is an easy solution to this problem: legalize it. Legalized massage parlors will make monitoring them that much easier. True, the sex slave trade is a horrendous thing, these two don't look as though they were being held against their will.
Turtle February 12, 2014 at 09:07 AM
I agree that these women do not appear as though they were held against their will, but unfortunately there are those situations in our area.
ed February 12, 2014 at 11:29 AM
Its typical thinks making $100,000 a year is a lot of money. I guess you're job at WalMart doesn't pay that well..lol
Occam's Hammer February 12, 2014 at 08:06 PM
Young girls held against their will. Of course that should be illegal! But if that were the case here, why are they arresting the victims? Stop human trafficking, but leave people who are doing what they want with their bodies without being coerced to do so.
Anthony Noyer February 15, 2014 at 06:54 AM
I went to high school with these girls. This is crazy lmfaooo. What a wrong way to be advertise on Social Network.
Sal Anthony February 20, 2014 at 10:37 AM
What does a person look like that is held against there will?

Me around 4pm on Friday afternoon at work.

I would really like to know how so many of these places are getting away with operating without a license in the first place. They are popping up everywhere, and I am sure many of them are fronts for sex and drug trades as well. New York state REQUIRES that a Massage Therapist MUST complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of training of which includes courses in anatomy & physiology, neurology, myology, and kinesiology. After program completion, they MUST pass a state board exam and Must take 36 credits of continuing education every 3 years in order to maintain their license. Officials should be enforcing state requirements and prevent places like this from opening in the first place.

the landlords who rent to these people know exactly who is moving in. they should be held responsible somehow.

Six Pack February 22, 2014 at 02:12 pm Obama, Cuomo. Out of the same mold. “The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their President.”
