Two Men Busted for Salisbury Burglary
A woman came home Sunday to find her air conditioner pushed in and jewelry missing, police said.
Two men were arrested Sunday after breaking into a Salisbury home and stealing jewelry, police said.
According to police, the female victim, 54, arrived to her Page Lane home at around 6:30 p.m. and discovered her air conditioner had been pushed into the living room. After entering the home, she also realizes that numerous jewelry boxes were missing, according to Third Precinct detectives.
A short time later, police say that the victim’s son spotted Anthony Spatafora, 21, of Westbury, and Cole Hanzich, 19, of Uniondale, placing garbage bags at the curb a few houses away that contained the victim’s jewelry boxes.

The suspects left the scene in a silver Mazda, police said, but they were apprehended a short time later on Salisbury Park Drive. After placing the perpetrators under arrest, officers discovered that they were in possession of Zanax pills.
Both suspects are charged with second-degree burglary, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. In addition, police discovered that Spatafora had a valid arrest warrant for fifth-degree and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Their arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 31 at First District Court in Hempstead.
