Salisbury Man Fatally Shot

Crime Stoppers is seeking the community's help in identifying Anthony Richard's killer.

A Salisbury man was shot to death Sunday while he was sitting in his car with a friend in Baldwin, police said.

According to the Nassau County Homicide Squad, the victim, Anthony Richard, 22, and a 20-year-old male were parked in a 2010 Mercedes Benz on Adams Street at approximately 10:40 p.m. when an unknown male approached the vehicle and fired multiple shots.

Richard drove a short distance before crashing into a tree. Richard's friend exited the vehicle and went to a nearby residence for help. He was discovered on the lawn of a home on Lincoln Street, and he was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries. Richard was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who has any information about this crime to call the toll free hotline at 1-800-244-TIPS (8477) or any member of Homicide Squad at 516-573-7788. All callers will remain anonymous. Police are also offering up to $5,000 as a reward for information on the case.
