Salisbury Man Busted for Robbery

After failing in his attempt the first time, David Ok, 21, stole Oxycodone from a Bethpage pharmacy.

A Salisbury man was arrested Friday after he pointed a gun at at a pharmacist in Bethpage and demanded oxycodone.

According to the Nassau County Robbery Squad, David Ok, 21, entered Island Care Pharmacy in Plainview at 1:30 p.m.. He was armed with a handgun and had a black cloth over his face, police said. When Ok saw that a bandit barrier was installed to protect the pharmacist, he fled in an unknown direction, according to the police report.

One hour later, Ok entered Bethpage Medical Pharmacy, and he handed the pharmacist a note demanding oxycodone. He then fled the scene in a black Volkswagen.

After police investigated, the vehicle used in the Bethpage robbery was located in front of Ok's home in Salisbury, and he was placed under arrest without incident, police said.

Ok is charged with first-degree robbery, first degree attempted robbery and two counts of first-degree criminal use of a firearm. He is also charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree criminal use of a firearm in connection to another incident at Island Care Pharmacy on Aug. 19. Ok's arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 1 at First District Court in Hempstead.
