UPDATE: Roslyn Savings Bank Robbed

The suspect escaped with an unknown amount of money, police said.

Nassau County Police are investigating a robbery at that took just before 6:30 p.m. Monday.

According to detectives, a male subject entered the bank and handed a demand note to the teller. After the teller complied, police said the suspect fled through the southbound in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No customers were present at the time of the robbery, and no injuries were reported, police said.

The suspect is described by police to be a black male in his mid 50s, approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall, wearing a black baseball cap, black bubble type vest and a black hooded sweatshirt.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
