Police Seek Woman Involved in East Meadow Bank Robbery

More details emerge in Sunday's incident.

Police are seeking the public's help in capturing a woman that was involved in a bank robbery in East Meadow on Sunday.

Authorities said that a woman entered TD Bank at 1600 Hempstead Turnpike around 1:55 p.m. and went to a teller and verbally demanded money. The suspect then took an undetermined amount of cash, handed to her by the teller, fled on foot westbound through the parking lot and entered a blue, two-door Audi with Michigan plates.

The suspect was described as a black woman who is five foot seven, 180 pounds and around 30-years-old. She was wearing a multi-colored coat, black pants and had red highlights in her hair, police said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of woman can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS. There is a reward up to $5,000 and all calls will remain anonymous.
