Police Search For Westbury Robbers

A delivery was attacked and his car was stolen, although it was later recovered.

Police are searching for four suspects that robbed and assaulted a delivery man in Westbury on Friday night. No serious injuries were reported.

According to police, a call was put in just before 9 p.m. to Golden Wok Kitchen in Westbury, and a 49-year-old man responded. Police say that once the delivery man arrived at the King Street residence, one subject, described to be a black male in his early 20's, punched the delivery man and demanded cash. At that time, three other male blacks came out from alongside the house to assist in the robbery.

Cash was stolen from the victim's pants pocket, and the perps took off in the delivery man's 2004 Toyota Corolla.

Detectives say that the car was later recovered on Oxford Street in Westbury, and it was impounded so experts could take a closer look.

The four suspects are described to be male blacks in their early 20's. Detectives request anyone with information about this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
