Police: Man Stole Pathmark Merchandise, Punched Two Women

Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in identifying the perpetrator.

Nassau County Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole merchandise from and then punched two women who confronted him about it on July 1, police said.

According to detectives, a man, described to be black, six feet tall, 200 pounds wearing a bright yellow t-shirt, black shorts, sunglasses and a ball cap, was seen attempting to leave Pathmark without paying for merchandise at about 8 p.m.

When confronted by a 67-year-old female, the man allegedly punched her in the face with a closed fist, which caused injuries. Police said he then punched another female in the face before fleeing on foot.

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who can identify the unknown subject pictured, or has any information about this case, to call the toll-free hotline at 1-800-244-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous.
