Nassau County Police are investigating a suspicious car fire that happened on Stuyvesant Avenue just after 11:30 p.m. Monday.
According to Chief Carl Pugliese, an accelerant was used to cause the blaze, and police found a gas can across the street from the vehicle.
“The car was fully engulfed,” Pugliese said. “It looks like gasoline was used as an accelerant.”
Nobody was injured in the blaze, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing, according to First Precinct detectives.
