Police: EM Man Sold Alcohol to a Minor

Issa Masoud arrested during a "Project 21" initiative targeting the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to minors within Nassau County.

Ten individuals were arrested, including an East Meadow resident, during a “Project 21” initiative targeting the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to minors within Nassau County.

Wednesday's initiative was conducted by Nassau County's Fourth Precinct in conjunction with the Hempstead Police Department.

With assistance from an underage agent, the following individuals were arrested for prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage and unlawful dealing with a child:

  • Issa Masoud, 46, of East Meadow sold alcohol to a minor from OK Petroleum at 151 Hempstead Avenue, West Hempstead
  • Samir Sayed, 34, of Howard Beach sold alcohol to a minor from the Valero Gas Station at 210 Greenwich Street, Hempstead
  • Kalpeshkumar Patel, 29, of Mineola sold alcohol to a minor from Fast Deli and Grocery at 478 South Franklin Street, Hempstead
  • Balvier Singh, 41, of Queens Village sold alcohol to a minor from the BP Gas Station at 771 Peninsula Boulevard, Hempstead
  • Deysi Morales-Umana, 23, of Hempstead sold alcohol to a minor from Fast Deli and Grocery at 478 South Franklin Street, Hempstead
  • Reeinberto Rivera-Urruta, 63, of Hempstead sold alcohol to a minor from 159 Baldwin Deli at 159 Baldwin Road, Hempstead
  • Dominick Alexander, 53, of Hempstead sold alcohol to a minor from the Citgo Gas Station at 221 Baldwin Road, Hempstead
  • Rafael Rodriguez-Medina, 50, of Freeport sold alcohol to a minor from PJ Grocery and Deli at 666 Fulton Avenue, Hempstead
  • Serdar Yilmaz, 37, of West Hempstead sold alcohol to a minor from the Star Gas Station at 699 Fulton Avenue, Hempstead

  • Brigitte Yao, 37, of Elmont sold alcohol to a minor from the Hess Gas Station at 435 Hempstead Turnpike, West Hempstead

All of the defendants were issued appearance tickets and will appear at First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday, Aug. 15.
