The showed community pride as it hosted the annual Sixth Battalion parade Saturday.
The parade, which kicked off on Prospect Avenue at Hempstead Turnpike, was led by Ex-Chief James Darcey, who is also the Chairman of the Sixth Battalion.
In addition to the EMFD, the parade included the other nine fire departments that make up the Sixth Battalion, as well as several other fire departments from across Nassau County who were invited.
