New Officials Elected to EMFD

Yet another election year for the officers and members of the has passed as chief and company officers continue their plans on what they will accomplish to make their mark in the history of our organization.

This years change of office took on a different meaning as officers and members alike paid tribute to newly elected 1st Lieutenant Robert P. Priest of Engine Company 1, who passed away suddenly on April 10.

A true sign of the fabric of which our organization is knitted, our department stood side by side for three days, displaying their best in laying a brother to rest.

But now, in the days passed, all officers have been officially accepted for their new positions, and the East Meadow Fire Department once more will move on proudly, only this time, not just for our community, but in a tribute for one of our own.

Amidst the days of disbelief unveils a renewed hope for the success, safety, and guidance of our 2012 leadership...just as Lieutenant Robert P. Priest would have wanted.
