Nearby: Seven Arrested After Large Fight

An altercation breaks out at a house party.

Seven people were arrested on Sunday after an altercation started at a house party in Uniondale, police said.

According to authorities, officers responded to a loud house party at 892 Smith Street and found approximately 250 to 300 people at the residence when they arrived.

As officers attempted to disperse the large crowd, a physical altercation occurred between Steven Phillips, 25, of Uniondale and Dashiem Cherry, 23, of Rockville Centre, police said.

As officers attempted to break up the fight Phillips and Cherry called out to the partygoers to intervene. Phillips and Cherry were eventually taken into custody.

A second large fight then ensued in the front of the residence and officers  responded, police said.  

A resident of the location, Gabrielle Batson, 21, who charged a fee to enter the party was also taken into custody.

Four other people were arrested including Karl Pierre, 22 of  Brooklyn, Annika Allen, age 23, of  Uniondale, Michael Bernard, 22 of Brooklyn and Jahmilia Cruz, 23, of Wheatley Heights.

Phillips and Cherry were each charged with inciting to riot, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
