Police confirm the victim, who lived in Roosevelt, was stabbed to death.
Nassau County Police have identified the murder victim found in Mill Pond Park Sunday afternoon.
Nassau County detectives have identified the deceased as 27-year-old Marvin Antonio Fuentes Serrano, of Roosevelt.
Police said Serrano died after sustaining "numerous stab wounds."
Seventh Precinct officers responded to a 911 call for a body slumped over a log at the Wantagh park around 4 p.m. Sunday.
When police arrived, they discovered Serrano. He was transported to Nassau University Medical Center for an autopsy.
