A person was killed in a one-car crash on eastbound side of the Southern State Parkway between exits 24 and 25 on Monday morning.

One person was killed in a one-car crash on eastbound side of the Southern State Parkway between exits 24 and 25 at approximately 4:30 a.m. Monday, State Police told Patch.

According to cops, there were five occupants in the car. Two were transported to Nassau University Medical Center and two were taken to Winthrop University Hospital. The fifth person was brought to South Nassau Communities Hospital.

One of the victims died in the crash, police confirmed, and one remains in critical condition. The other three were said to be in stable condition.

The identity of the deceased was not disclosed by police.

The Southern State Parkway was closed while cops investigated the crash, but it has since reopened.
