A Massapequa man was arrested Friday afternoon for multiple knifepoint robberies and an East Meadow larceny that occurred in August.
According to Nassau County detectives, Kevin Washington, 43, committed a series of knifepoint robberies at the following locations:
- Sunoco Gas Station located at 1220 Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale on June 27 at 12:55 a.m.
- Mobil Gas Station located at 1214 Grand Ave. in Baldwin on Aug. 16, at 4:15 a.m.
- Mobil Gas Station located at 79 Old Country Road in Westbury on Aug. 27 at 2:28 a.m.
- BP Gas Station located at 199 Broadway in Hicksville on Sept. 11 at 1:27 a.m.
In addition to the above listed robberies, Washington committed a larceny at the BP Gas Station located at 1878 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow on Aug. 1, police said
Washington was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Friday following an investigation by the robbery squad with the assistance of the Bureau of Special Operations.
Washington is being charged with four counts of robbery in the first degree, four counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, petit larceny and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday.
