Man Reported Missing After Last Being Seen at NUMC

Jason Gregory was allegedly released from NUMC on a day pass, but he never returned to the East Meadow hospital.

Nassau County Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Freeport man that was last spotted at (NUMC) in East Meadow.

According to detectives, Jason Gregory, 53, is a psychiatric patient at NUMC, and he suffers from depression. He is also prescribed Prozac, according to the Silver Alert, and now he has no access to it. Police said that Gregory is also a prior substance abuser, and he was released on a day pass from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, but he did not return.

Police said that he was last seen on the 14th floor of NUMC, and they suspect that he may be in the vicinity of Greenfield Cemetery at 650 Nassau Rd. in Uniondale.

Gregory is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, and he weighs 210 pounds. No photo of Gregory was provided by police.
