Levittown Woman Busted for East Meadow Burglary

Allegedly stole items and money from landlord.

A Levittown woman was arrested on burglary charges Wednesday after she allegedly stole money from her landlord.

According to detectives, Ashley Bagnati, 23, a tenant in the 51-year-old victim’s East Meadow apartment, was observed on surveillance camera on Wednesday entering the victim’s bedroom and removing $80 from a dresser drawer.

The landlord had become suspicious of her tenants and installed the surveillance camera after continually discovering personal property missing over the past four months.

Bagnati is being charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree and she will be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
