The woman who was seriously injured in a March 2 motorcyle crash on North Jerusalem Road has been "upgraded to fair/stable condition [and has been moved] out of the intensive care unit to a medical/surgical floor," according to Shelley Lotenberg, director of Public affairs at .
According to one witness, the woman was cut off by a school bus while traveling westbound on North Jerusalem Road. The woman then veered to the road to avoid the bus, but she crashed into the back of a parked Nissan Xterra and was launched off of the motorcycle.
Emily Wood, 22, was sitting in her car when she heard a loud noise, and she looked outside to see the motorcycle on the ground and the woman bleeding from her head.
"I called 911," Wood said. "When they arrived, they said she had lost her pulse, but she eventually got it back."
The woman has not been identified, and no further information was released.
