East Meadow Man Killed By Train

Kevin Lherisson was hit by an empty train in Babylon early Saturday morning after he fell onto the tracks.

A 24-year-old East Meadow man was killed by a train at the Babylon train station early Saturday morning, according to a Long Island Rail Road spokeswoman.

Kevin Lherisson reportedly fell on the tracks and was hit by an empty train heading to New York at about 3 a.m., according to the LIRR.

His body was discovered underneath the platform by a LIRR customer who then notified a Babylon train station worker.

Following the incident, the crew and equipment related to the train were removed from service as the MTA investigates the incident, a spokesperson said.
