East Meadow Man Arrested for Murder

Herber Guzman, 40, allegedly killed a Hempstead man on April 26.

An East Meadow man was arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder of a Hempstead man, which took place on April 26.

According to Nassau County Homicide Squad detectives, a 911 call was received at 4:39 a.m. in regards to a male lying in the street on Martin Avenue in Hempstead. When Hempstead Police arrived, it was discovered that the victim had suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

The man, identified as Stanley Cater, 47, of Hempstead, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff at 5:39 a.m. 

After an investigation, police arrested Herber Guzman, 40, of East Meadow. He has been charged with second degree murder and his arraignment is scheduled for May 3 at First District Court in Hempstead.

Drop the charges,,,,Deport him... and give him the chance to enter the U.S. again and start over,,,,They is definitely fair....Who cares if he was never immunized since birth...He has every right to cook and serve Americans food....Swine flu,,,,who cares about that now,,,The U.S. already vaccinated all its citizens from the illegals....When will this Island get the guts to stick up for themselves fight back against clear and cut LAW BREAKERS
