East Meadow Liquor Store Robbed on Friday

Patel S Wines & Liquors on N. Jerusalem Road was robbed on Friday night, according to Nassau County police.

Cops said a white man described as six-foot-one inches and 220 pounds walked in and demanded cash. A woman employee, who was there with her 3-year-old daughter, ran out of the store while the man went behind the counter and took money out of the register.

Police said the suspect fled and was seen by a witness getting into a black four door Honda Accord on Vernon Avenue.  The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on N. Jerusalem Road. 

No customers were in the store at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
