The fire that damaged three East Meadow businesses on Tuesday night is being deemed as accidental, police said.
Two firefighters sustained minor injuries while fighting the blaze, fire officials said.
The fire started at Spice & Curry Halal Meat at 2238 Hempstead Tpke. at approximately 10:30 p.m. and spread to the adjacent businesses, Lewis Wine & Spirit and We Buy Gold at 2240 Hempstead Turnpike
Seventy-five firefighters from the Bellmore, North Bellmore, North Levittown, Wantagh and North Merrick departments responded to the scene.
