Crimes Nearby Part II: Knapsacks Stolen, Items Stolen From Cars

Recent criminal activity reported in southeast Nassau County communities.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Levittown

  • Hofstra knapsacks were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Miller’s Ale House on Hempstead Turnpike on May 4.
  • A power/washer and assorted tools were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Celestial Lane on May 4.

Merrick
  • Hubcaps were removed from a vehicle parked on Stuyvestant Avenue between April 29-30.
  • A man was observed on video opening unlocked vehicle doors and attempting to open several other vehicles on Elliot Place on May 4. For more details and a video of the man, click here.
