Crime Report: Woods Avenue Home Invasion, Salisbury Burglar Busted

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police the people responsible for attacking and robbing residents of a Woods Avenue home early Tuesday morning, according to First Precinct detectives.

According to detectives, four to six male subjects, allegedly armed with a handgun, entered the home at around 2 a.m. Two males were pistol whipped during the invasion, police said.

  • A Salisbury man after he was allegedly caught trying to break into of Nawtons Bar and Grill Tuesday, police said. According to Third Precinct detectives, Gregory Neway, 32, tried breaking into the Westbury establishment around 4 a.m. While trying to get inside, police said Neway damaged a window, an air conditioner, and he also "pulled gas and electrical lines from the building which led to a hazardous condition."
  • Sometime between 10:45 p.m. on Oct. 6 and 6 a.m. on Oct. 7, a vehicle parked on Taylor Avenue was broken into and a GPS was stolen.
  • On Oct. 2, between 9:30-10 p.m., a vehicle parked in parking lot was damaged.
