Crime Report: Shoplifter Busted, Vehicle Break-ins
The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
On March 27 at 7 p.m., Helen A. Lonnie-Kohut, a Wantagh resident, was arrested for allegedly stealing $98 worth of items from on Front Street in East Meadow.

- Sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on March 29, a trumpet was stolen from a vehicle that was parked on McArthur Street in East Meadow.
- After 7 a.m. on March 31, a vehicle parked in a driveway on Bard Lane in East Meadow was broken into, and items were removed from the automobile.
- Before 9:05 a.m. on March 29, a vehicle parked on Marion Drive in East Meadow was damaged, although police did not specify what caused it.
- Sometime between 6 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on March 30, a vehicle that was parked in front of at 1918 Hempstead Turnpike was damaged.
