Crime Report: North Bellmore Homicide, BB Gun Incident, Shoplifting

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A man outside of his 925 East Meadow Ave. residence late Sunday night, police said.

"We do not believe that this was random," Nassau County Police Detective Lt. John Azzata said. "We do not know of a motive yet, but we are investigating several avenues. We are looking into his business, social and family relations."

  • On Oct. 31 after 7:15 p.m., someone shot a BB gun at Agape Karate School at 220 East Meadow Ave. This caused the window to shatter.
  • At Nov. 1, at approximately 5:45 p.m., a shoplifter stole $109 worth of merchandise from at 2312 Hempstead Tpke. in East Meadow.
  • On Oct. 30, after 6 p.m., items were stolen from a vehicle that was parked on Post Street in East Meadow.
  • On Oct. 30, after 10 p.m., a GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle parked on Gates Avenue that was left unlocked.
  • Sometime between 5 p.m. on Oct. 31 and 6:45 a.m. on Nov. 1, a vehicle parked on Chestnut Avenue in East Meadow had its windows broken.
  • On Nov. 1, between 3:30 a.m. and 7 a.m., a vehicle parked on Blackstone Avenue in East Meadow had its window broken.
