Crime Report: Mother and Son Arrested, Woman Attempts to Fill Phony Prescription

Recent criminal activity reported in southeast Nassau County communities.

  • Ravi Sharma, 36, of East Meadow was arrested for stealing USC at a Mobil Station in Massapequa where he was employed. 
  • On June 28, an East Meadow woman was struck by a car and killed on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa.
  • On July 1, A mother and son from East Meadow were arrested after they were allegedly caught selling drugs to four people, three of whom were teenagers.
  • Cheryl Ann Shearer, 33, of Bayside allegedly left her young children in the car and attempted to fill a forged prescription for Percocet at an East Meadow pharmacy on July 3.
