Crime Report: Man Charged With Fraud, Woman Arrested For Stabbing

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department; it does not indicate a conviction.

  • Items were removed from a vehicle that was parked on East Meadow Avenue on May 28. 
  • On May 28, Alveena Chaudry, 24, of East Meadow was arrested after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend with a pair of scissors, police said. 
  • Sometime between May 30 and May 31, tires were removed from a vehicle parked on Marlboro Street. The car was left on cement blocks.
  • An unknown person entered Woodland Middle School through an open cafeteria window. No property was stolen or damaged. 
  • Eric Engvaldsen, 48, of East Meadow was charged and arrested for public assistance fraud, according to the district attorney's office.
