Crime Report: DWI Arrest, Car Break-ins Continue

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An East Meadow man was arrested on Sept. 14 for driving while intoxicated in Oceanside.

According to detectives, Michael Nogan, 55, was under the influence of alcohol when he was arrested at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Davison Street.

  • On Sept. 12, items were stolen from a car that was left unlocked on East Meadow Avenue at approximately 6 a.m.
  • Sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 13, an automobile on Vincent Drive was broken into and items were stolen. The vehicle was not damaged.
  • Between 5 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 13, there was an automobile break-in on Maple Drive. Belongings were taken from the vehicle, and the amount of damage is unknown.
  • On Sept. 13, after 4 a.m., another vehicle on Vincent Drive was broken into. Various items were stolen from the vehicle.
  • Sometime between 1-6 p.m. on Sept. 13, another vehicle on Maple Avenue was broken into.
  • Between 8 p.m. on Sept. 15 and 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 16, a car parked on First Avenue was broken into, and change was stolen.
  • Sometime between 8 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 13, a car parked on Albermarle Avenue in East Meadow had its tires slashed.
  • Between 9 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 6:45 a.m. on Sept. 13, a vehicle parked on Chestnut Lane was scratched and dented.
  • Sometime between 10 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 13, an unknown suspect broke into and pushed two concrete pipe chase covers into the town pool, which caused one of them to break on impact.
