Crime Report: Drunken Rampage, Arson Arrest, DWI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Jamaica man Monday for DWI after he was caught driving the wrong way in East Meadow, police say.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, Dave McNab, 43, of Montego Bay, was observed driving his Ford Explorer eastbound "in an erratic manner" on Hempstead Turnpike at around 4:45 a.m.

  • A Pennsylvania news outlet reported Tuesday that an East Meadow man after going on a drunken rampage in Sugarloaf Township, Pa. on Saturday. According to the Standard Speaker, state police at Hazleton said that James Henry Morrow, 20, was arguing with someone when they arrived at Barron's Sunoco on State Route 93. The victim told police that Morrow was drunk and assaulted him.
  • Two 18-year-olds in East Meadow Friday morning after allegedly trying to set a house and car on fire in Uniondale. According to Nassau County Arson/Bomb Squad detectives, Jeffrey Rada, 18, of Hicksville, and Dominick Marinelli, 18, of Uniondale, had an ongoing dispute with the son of a homeowner on Warwick Street in Uniondale.
  • Sometime between 7 p.m. on July 23 and 1 p.m. on July 24, items were stolen from an unlocked car that was parked on Maple Avenue.
  • On July 31 at 7 p.m., Tomas Lopez, a Roosevelt resident, was arrested for shoplifting at in East Meadow. The estimate value of the stolen items is $119.
  • On July 27 at 5 p.m., a vehicle that was parked on Hempstead Turnpike's window was broken.
  • Between 7:30 p.m. on July 27 and 8:05 a.m. on July 28, an unoccupied home on Ramona Street was damaged.
  • On July 30, between midnight and 9 a.m., the was vandalized with graffiti.
  • Between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on July 30, a vehicle that was parked on Preston Avenue had its window damaged.
  • Sometime between 7 p.m. on July 29 and 2 p.m. on July 31, a front light was damaged and an American flag was removed from a home on Harvey Lane.
