Crime Report: Battery Theft, Shed Break-In, Kia Auto World Damage

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

After 12 p.m. on May 29, a unknown suspect allegedly stole $227 worth of batteries from , which is located at 2312 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow.

  • Sometime between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on May 29, a shed behind a home on Coolidge Drive was broken into and a bike was stolen. Police said the shed as not locked beforehand.
  • On May 27, between 7-11 p.m., a vehicle parked at had its window broken, and a laptop was stolen.
  • Also on May 27, between 7:30-10:30 p.m., a rear window at Kia Auto World was damaged.
  • Lastly on May 27, another vehicle had its window damaged while parked at Kia Auto World in East Meadow. This allegedly took place sometime between 7-10:30 p.m., police said.
  • After 12:30 p.m. on May 28, a handle and padlock on a shed at was broken, and police did not disclose whether or not anything was taken..
