Crime Nearby: Snowblower Stolen from Church Garage, DWI Arrests

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Bellmore

  • On Feb. 18, Yimmy Sosa Espinal, 25, of Copiague, was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Bellmore Avenue, Bellmore and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and three violations of the vehicle and traffic law.
  • On Feb. 18, Julia Jordan, 58, of Bellmore was arrested on Merrick Road near South Seamans Neck Road, Seaford and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Merrick

  • On Feb. 15, Kathleen Mangiaracina, 51, of Merrick, was arrested at the Seventh Precinct in Seaford and charged with criminal mischief.
  • An unknown suspect used a counterfeit $100 bill when paying at Five Guys Burgers. The suspect also used counterfeit money at Bagel Boss next door.

  • Sometime between Feb. 7 and Feb. 8, an unknown suspect(s) slashed complainant’s tire and broke the driver side mirror of their 2003 blue Hyundai. The car was located on Maple Street.
  • On Feb. 15, Victor Arias, 35, of Lindenhurst, was arrested on Ocean Avenue, Seaford and charged with falsely reporting an incident in the third degree.
  • Sometime between Feb. 15 and Feb. 16, it was reported that an unknown suspect(s) damaged the siding at WMS Realty.
  • On Feb. 16, the door was broken to a detached garage at St. William the Abbot and a snowblower was stolen.

Wantagh

  • On Feb. 17, Tara Cione, 34 of Wantagh, was arrested on Bellmore Avenue near Marion Street, Bellmore and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and two violations of the vehicle and traffic law.
  • On Feb. 17, a vacant location on Islip Court that is currently under construction was entered via the rear door. No loss was reported.
