Crime Nearby: Robbery Leaves Two Dead, BP Station Robbed at Gunpoint

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department; it does not indicate a conviction.

Bellmore

  • On Dec. 30, Susan Houser, 55, of Brevoort Place, Bellmore was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Centre Avenue, Bellmore and charged with driving while ability impaired, reckless driving and leaving incident without a report.
  • On Jan. 2, Colleen Canham, 38, of Central Avenue, Massapequa was arrested on Bedford Avenue near Sunrise Highway, Bellmore and charged with driving while ability impaired, reckless driving and one violation of the vehicle and traffic law.
  • On Dec. 31, an unknown suspect(s) stole a handbag from complainant’s 2011 black Toyota by breaking the passenger side window.
  • On Jan. 3, The at 2425 Merrick Road was robbed at gunpoint. Read the full story .

  • On Dec. 29, items were removed from a car that was located on Lloyd Court.

Merrick

  • Items were removed from a vehicle that was located on Lois Place on Dec. 30.
  • On Dec. 1, an attempted robbery in North Merrick left a teen with a laceration above his right eye. To read the whole story, click here.

Seaford

  • On Dec. 29, a complainant reported that two catalytic converters stolen from two vehicles from Massapequa Nissan in Seaford.
  • An unknown suspect(s) stole an EZ Pass from complainant’s 2010 gray Nissan, 2003 white Buick and 2001 green Nissan on Riverside Avenue on Dec. 30.
  • An unknown suspect stole a GPS from complainant’s 2007 white Toyota on Riverside Avenue. The incident happened on Dec. 30.
  • On Dec. 30, an unknown suspect stole a GPS and USC units from a 1992 blue Buick. This incident took place on Riverside Avenue.
  • A tire pump was stolen from a 1999 tan Toyota on Seminole Avenue.
  • An unknown suspect stole a GPS from a complainant’s unlocked 2009 white Mercedes on Ocean Avenue.
  • On Dec. 31, an ATF officer and a perpetrator were killed after a robbery at Charlie’s Pharmacy in Seaford. See the full story .
  • On Jan. 1, Kevin M Hurley, age 20 of Dale Place, Seaford was arrested on New York Avenue near Hicksville Road, Massapequa and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and 6 violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
  • An unknown suspect(s) entered complainant’s 1995 green Saturn and disassembled the interior light assembly and removed the light bulb on Maple Street.
  • On Sylvia Road, an unknown suspect(s) stole a GPS from complainant’s unlocked 2010 gray Nissan.

Wantagh

  • Sometime on Jan. 2, an unknown suspect or suspect broke a fence in the rear of a Barrie Avenue residence.
