Crime Nearby: Man Flees Accident Scene, GPS Device Stolen from Boat

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department; it does not indicate a conviction.

Bellmore

  • Sometime between July 24 and July 25, a suspect entered the rear window of a home located on St. Marks Avenue. No items were reported stolen.
  • Anthony Pascullo, 22, of Bellmore was arrested at Gino Pizza on 5159 Merrick Road in Massapequa and charged with third-degree grand larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. This incident occurred on July 27.
  • On July 29, Sonny Cayaban, 39, of Bellmore was arrested on drug charges after allegedly fleeing from New York State Police on the Southern State Parkway.

Merrick

  • Sometime between July 18 and July 24, a complainant discovered the dashboard including the GPS stolen from his boat. When he contacted the company for replacement parts, he was informed that six other similar boats in the south shore of Nassau and Suffolk had similar larcenies.
  • On July 27 it was reported that a bicycle was stolen from the side of a Florence Street residence.

Wantagh

  • On July 24 between 9:30 a.m. and 9:40 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) broke a bike lock and stole a bicycle from the Wantagh LIRR train stration.
  • On July 24 between 12:01 a.m. and 7 a.m., a complainant discovered scratch marks on their 2012 gray Toyota that went from the passenger side front bumper to the rear bumper. The incident occurred on Willow Street in Wantagh.
  • On July 27, Hossein Bashang, 57 of Wantagh, was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Seamans Neck Road in Seaford and charged with driving while intoxicated and four violations of the vehicle and traffic law.
  • On July 28 at approximately 11:50 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) broke the rear window of a 2006 tan Chevy on Twin Lane North in Wantagh.
  • On July 30, Michael Falk, 21, Wantagh, was arrested on Spruce Street and charged with grand larceny in the third degree.
