Cops: Pregnant Teen Bites, Kicks Arresting Officers

Sinaia Jackson was at NUMC for medical clearance to be processed for earlier arrest when she allegedly became violent with police officers assigned to her.

A pregnant teenager already arrested for an incident earlier Saturday was at the hospital being cleared for processing when she allegedly became violent with officers and was arrested a second time, Nassau County police said.

According to police, Sinaia Jackson, 18, of Uniondale was in police custody at undergoing a physical to make sure she could be processed for an earlier arrest when she began kicking and biting an officer assigned to her.

The officer suffered a laceration to his right hand and head trauma, police stated. A second officer was kicked in the chest as he gained control of the defendant. Police added that during arrest processing Jackson was found to be in possession of a Marijuana cigarette in her pocket.

Jackson is charged with Assault 2nd degree, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Harassment 2nd degree, and Resisting Arrest. She was arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.

(Editor's Note: It was not immediately clear what the defendant was arrested for the first time.)

Here is the short version: "According to police, Sinaia Jackson, 18, of Uniondale was in police custody at Nassau University Medical Center " "A pregnant teenager" "Jackson was found to be in possession of a Marijuana cigarette in her pocket." "Jackson is charged with Assault 2nd degree, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Harassment 2nd degree, and Resisting Arrest. She was arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead."... How unfortunate. Our tax dollars at work. Pregnant, with marijuana, arrested and violent..... Why am I not surprised.....

Jackson dropped her bag in a yard, police were called. Jackson came back for the bag and officer Anderson asked for a name, Jackson gave a nickname and officer handed her the bag but asked whose birth certificate was in the bag that he now held in his hand. Jackson reached for the birth certificate and Anderson grabbed her arms telling her she was under arrest. Jackson resisted questioning the officer as to what she had done wrong. The father of Jackson's child arrived on the scene, making officer Anderson feel threatened and he called for backup. 4 male officers arrived on the scene grabbing Jackson my hands and feet and throwing her face first to cement as you see the swollen face in the mugshot. 4 male officers pressed their knees in her back, legs & ankles causing lacerations to her legs and feet. After Jackson stated she was 3months pregnant officers then called a female officer to the scene. Jackson was searched in the ambulance and there was no marijuana cigarette. Arriving to NUMC officers yet had told Jackson what in fact she had been arrested for. Reaching?

Witnesses took photos and recorded while police brutally forced Jackson to handcuffs and shackles when she agreed to cooperate as soon as she was informed on the crime she had committed. Jackson was handcuffed to a bed in NUMC when she heard her mothers voice. She sat up in her bed listening to officers speak to her mother when officer McPhail told her to sit back. Jackson refused saying it was not a crime to sit up. Mcphail told her to "sit the f*ck back". Jackson persisttantly refused and McPhail began to elbow her face in "attempts" to restrain her. Jackson began to flail her body in every direction to escape the blows. Her mother barged in from hearing her scream and began to curse out officers as to why her daughter was bleeding. Officers threatened to arrest the mother for obstruction once she saw what officers did and she was escorted off the premisis. Officers corrupted a story in front of Jackson, ALL MALE officers! No female in the room to even say what was done to her. Jackson was shacked and handcuffed to a bed making her an easy target for police officers if necessary. But as officers corrupted a story in front of Jackson they told her "who will they believe? cops or the 18 year old psycho ".

Just what we need, imbeciles behind a keyboard not knowing what lines should not be crossed when you are a meer civilian wasting your time commenting on an article that pertains nothing to your life. Your opinion is irrelevant on a child that doesn't kow you from an "average Joe". I suggest you get a 9-5

Bigots, you're all haters who judge people who are not like yourselves, the cops too! Go live in China where you'll find real social oppression. Don't spit on the sidewalk!

(In the editor's note it says it's not clear what she was arrested for the first time because there was NO REASON for her arrest! She reached for her birth certificate and then suddenly was being demanded to put her hands behind her back!)
