Cops: Man in Car Approaches East Meadow Teens

Cite several incidents in the area of children being followed by men in vehicles.

While police are on the hunt for a van that has been following students in the , and East Meadow areas, another incident involving a potentially different suspect occurred this week.

According to police, on Monday around 4 p.m., two 13-year-old girls were approached by a man at Front Street and Coolidge Drive in East Meadow. A male Hispanic or Indian drove along them in a dark colored four-door Lincoln and asked if they needed a ride, police said.

The victims crossed the street and the vehicle fled westbound on Front Street.
