Cops: Man Assaulted on Hempstead Turnpike
Standing on street, an unknown assailant allegedly punched the victim and fled.
A man standing on Hempstead Turnpike was assaulted by another man Friday night, according to Nassau County Police.
Detectives stated that a 34-year-old victim was in front of 2571 Hempstead Tpke. in East Meadow when he was approached by a white male suspect. The unknown subject allegedly punched the victim in the face and then fled the scene in a dark-colored BMW sedan.
The victim sustained a broken nose with swelling and bruising to his left eye. He was transported by police ambulance to the Nassau University Medical Center where he was treated and released for his injuries.
