Baldwin woman charged with robbing TD Bank in East Meadow, Payless in Oceanside.

A Baldwin woman faces charges after Nassau County Police say she robbed an East Meadow bank and a Freeport shoe store.

Patricia Hernandez, 45, was charged with first- and third-degree robbery Tuesday after an investigation by NCPD and the Bureau of Special Operations.

According to police, Hernandez went to TD Bank on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow and handed a teller a demand note Sunday afternoon. The teller cooperated and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and Hernandez fled the scene, cops said. Six employees and two customers were in the bank at the time, none of whom were harmed in the robbery.
