Bomb Threat Called in to NUMC

Police say that it doesn't seem like a "big deal."

Police responded to a bomb threat that was called in to Nassau University Medical Center at 8:54 p.m. Thursday, but officials said they believed the threat wasn't serious.

According to police, the call originated from a payphone in the psychiatric ward of the hospital, and police are investigating to ensure safety. The psychiatric ward was not evacuated due to the incident, officials said.

"We're looking into it, but it doesn't seem like it's a big deal," a police officer said.
