Fink could not explain why he had these items, turned them over to security and was instructed to leave the hospital grounds. Shortly after, he was observed near the main entrance of the hospital and police were notified, authorities said.
After an investigation, police found that Fink entered a restricted area of the hospital and removed numerous patient medical records from previous admissions. He was taken into custody without incident.
Fink was charged with third-degree burglary and will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday.
