A Look Back at Garage Fire on Second Street
A blast from the past with the East Meadow Fire Department.
On this date, East Meadow Volunteers were alerted to a garage fire on Second Street near Franklin Avenue.
Upon arrival East Meadow Chiefs were confronted with a fully involved garage fire threatening to extend to a nearby home. Immediately attack lines were stretched and the battle to control the fire was on.
Due to the quick actions of firefighters, damage to the home was contained to the immediate exterior. Along with the garage, a car inside was also a total loss.
