Sound Off: Ice Rinks at Eisenhower

Tell us your thoughts on the "Twin Rinks" opening in East Meadow.

Twins and former New York Ranger hockey players, the Ferraro brothers, are bringing an 85,000 square foot world-class facility with two NHL regulation-sized rinks and one outdoor recreational hockey rink, to Eisenhower Park.

A groundbreaking is set for later this week.

How do you feel about the facility being in the park? Do you think it will be a positive addition to East Meadow? Tell us in the comments below.

It is not a matter of what I want but common sense says it should be in Uniondale at the Colesium... "an 85,000 square foot world-class facility with two NHL regulation-sized rinks"

let us know what the full deal is so we can make an informed decision not off a headline - Paul's thought on why the Coliseum area isn't being used seems very appropriate. My initial thought brings memories of the Swimming facility, not good.

Tax rebates and free land for a special interest group, that's the deal.
