Hofstra University Museum officials recently thanked a representative from East Meadow's for the financial institution's contribution to the museum's exhibition, "Opportunity and Impact: Works by Émigré Artists."
Sharon Phillips, branch manager for Astoria Federal Savings in East Meadow, went to the campus to view the exhibition and meet with Beth Levinthal, executive director of the museum, and Kristy Caratzola, curator of the exhibition and collections manager for museum.
The exhibit includes 24 paintings, photographs, prints and sculptures created by immigrant artists from Europe, Cuba and South America. It will run until Sept. 9 at the David Filderman Gallery on the South Campus of the university.
