Libby Hildes, Founding Member of I.L. Peretz Jewish School, Dies at 89

Libby Hildes, a founding member of The Workmen's Circle East Meadow Jewish School, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12. She was 89.

Ms. Hildes is the beloved wife of Emanuel and mother of Steven and David.

She worked all her life for the cause of Jewish education and culture, according to an obituary published in the New York Times.

Funeral services will be held at Gutterman's Funeral Home, 8000 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury on Monday at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the I.L. Peretz Jewish School located at 575 East Meadow Avenue.
