THIS WEEKEND’S NORTH FORK RECOMMENDATIONS, JULY 19,20

REAL ESTATE ADVICE

It may be the only nice days this week so load the kids in the car and head out east to the North Fork this weekend. Beaches are all open and there are lots of other things to do !!

We had an opening last weekend that was long anticipated and welcomed. The Greenport Brewery opened the doors at their new complex in Peconic on the Main Road. The crowds were over flowing so this might be a better weekend to check it out. Craft beers by the glass or pitcher, food from a series of the best local Food Trucks. http://www.harborbrewing.com/site/

Lavender by the Bay on the Main Road as you enter east Marion also opened the doors to their 2014 bloom Season. The fields are full of the fragrance and the bounty of many different types of lavender, pick it yourself or take the mornings pickings in the store. http://www.lavenderbythebay.com/

Smitty’s All American Grill opens this weekend at the All-Star Bowling Alley in Riverhead. Offering a full burger and beer menu, and when you’re finished you can try out one of the open lanes. Located at 96 main Road in Riverhead. http://www.theallstar.com/

The next new opening is the self-service U-Shuck Oyster Bar at the Little Creek Market overlooking the Greenport Harbor at 37 Front Street. Sit at a picnic table and shuck a dozen topped with Holy Schmitt’s Homemade Horseradish

If you don’t think you’re up for shucking oysters yourself enjoy two of the finest things in life — good wine and fresh oysters — at Lieb Cellars 10th annual Oyster Fest on Sunday. Local oyster farmers will be on hand shucking fresh oysters and many vendors and restaurants will be selling food. Local artist Patience Pollack will be on hand and Cass Dillon and friends will provide live music. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. on July 20 at The Tasting Group at 35 Cox Neck Lane in Mattituck. $20 admission. Lieb Cellars Oyster Fest

Art Without Bariers, What you hear is what you see

As usual, I don’t see lots of time for real estate, but if you are interested let me know. My schedule, like many of the other Brokers, is busy but very flexible. Or as I tell my customers, take a day during the week when you can spend time without the pressure of weekend entertainment and enjoyment and relax with me.
