3. Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert to be Held in Eisenhower Park: County Executive Edward Mangano announced that Nassau County will host a free Hurricane Sandy benefit concert called "Concert in the Park – Nassau Helping Nassau," in Eisenhower Park's Lakeside Theatre on June 8. 

2. Cops: East Meadow Woman Stabbed Boyfriend with Scissors: Alveena Chaudry, 24, of East Meadow was arrested on Tuesday after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend with a pair of scissors, police said.

East Meadow Man Charged With Public Assistance Fraud: Eric Engvaldsen, 48, of East Meadow and 11 other people were arrested and charged for stealing more than a combined $370,000 in Medicaid, food stamps, and other taxpayer-funded public assistance benefits, according to the district attorney's office.
